The Bahamas can make an ideal tourist destination for anyone who loves beaches, the search for the perfect sea shell, building sandcastles or just lounge in the sun. The Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter is a great opportunity to stand in waist deep turquoise blue waters and caress the Dolphins as they swim past. Snorkeling enthusiasts can don their gear and actually go swim with these gentle creatures. Once you get back into dry land you can visit the Garden of the Groves which is located in Freeport. It is basically a children friendly area where you can spot lot of snorting pigs, stunning flamingos and vibrant macaws.
